About us?

The Ditsöwö ú-Lodge project was born in 2006 after a great flooding of the Telire river in Talamanca, the current owner Danilo layan was the promoter of this initiative  which is based on showing an area of the indigenous culture  Bribri and Cabecar to people who want to know about traditions and ancestral experiences in Costa Rica, and thus give a slight growth and cultural enrichment through this economic entrance that stands out as the Conscious growth activity for biodiversity in this country.

One of the main reasons for this project is to carry out tourism with a natural and cultural approach, which favors indigenous peoples, for their generation of employment and also promotes economic development through agriculture and promotes social and community support groups. to improve the centers of education in indigenous knowledge, for a long time these indigenous peoples have been abandoned, politically and economically, in addition to the fact that schooling is limited for the people of these places, taking into account this we want to link up and work together so that this is the means of improving the quality of indigenous life.

  • Promote sustainable and authentic indigenous tourism, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the culture and traditions of the Bribri and Cabécar indigenous communities in Limón, Costa Rica, while contributing to their economic development and long-term sustainability.
